Ingredients for Mouthwatering Bakery-Style Butter Cookies:
1 packet of softened butter or margarine (250g)
1 coffee cup of vegetable oil
4 tablespoons of wheat starch
1 cup of powdered sugar
Enough flour
For the topping:
Half a cup of powdered sugar
How to Make Mouthwatering Bakery-Style Butter Cookies:
– Mix one cup of butter or margarine, vegetable oil, and powdered sugar. Reserve the remaining half cup of powdered sugar for the topping.
– After kneading for 5 minutes, add wheat starch and flour. Knead thoroughly to prevent the dough from breaking apart.
– When shaping, take two walnut-sized pieces and roll them into a cylindrical shape.
– Use a fork to create a pattern on the top, right, left, and bottom sides. (Refer to the image for guidance).
– Do not grease the tray as the dough already contains oil. Arrange the prepared cookies on the tray.
– Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes, ensuring they remain soft and moist. Do not exceed 15 minutes of baking time.
– Allow to cool after removing from the oven, then coat them in the reserved half cup of powdered sugar. Your cookies are ready to enjoy!
NOTE: I recommend having a beverage on hand as these cookies can be thirst-inducing.
