How do you describe the magnificence of Ekmek Kadayıfı  ( bread kadayif) , where the combination of nuts or walnuts and the creaminess on top is simply divine? They say it’s an experience rather than a description! If you’re looking for a unique and delicious recipe, this one’s for you. Loved for its syrupy sweetness, this dessert is a must-try. If you’re curious about how to make bread kadayif that you can easily prepare for guests, friends, or family, here’s the recipe. You won’t regret it after trying. Bon appétit!

    Ingredients for Ekmek Kadayıfı:

    Ekmek Kadayıfı For The Cake:

    3 eggs
    1 cup sugar
    3 Turkish coffee cups flour
    1 packet baking powder
    1 packet vanilla

    For the caramel syrup:

    3 cups water
    3 cups sugar

    For the cream:

    2.5 cups milk
    3 tablespoons flour
    2 tablespoons coconut
    4 tablespoons sugar
    1 packet vanilla

    Ekmek Kadayıfı Instructions:

    – Beat eggs and sugar with a mixer for 5 minutes, then add flour, baking powder, and vanilla, mix well.
    – Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (350°F) for 20 minutes without opening the lid. (for a small rectangular baking dish or tray)
    – Once the cake has cooled, prepare the caramel by boiling 3 cups of sugar and 3 cups of boiling water.
    – Place the sugar in a saucepan and melt it over low heat, then slowly pour in 3 cups of boiling water.
    – When you add the water, the sugar will harden, keep boiling until the sugar melts again.
    – For the cream, mix all ingredients except coconut and vanilla, cook, then add coconut and vanilla after cooking, whisk well, and let it cool.
    – Divide the cooled cake horizontally, place the bottom part back in the baking dish.
    – Pour half of the lukewarm caramel syrup over the bottom part (adjust the amount of syrup well as it will also be poured over the top).
    – Pour all the cream in the middle and spread it evenly.
    – Carefully place the top part and pour the remaining syrup over the cake, making sure it covers every part.  If possible, let it sit in the refrigerator overnight, and serve with whipped cream or cream chantilly.
