Dolama Baklavas Recipe
Dolama Baklavas Ingredients:
1 package of phyllo dough
1 kg ground pistachios
300 gr melted butter (at a temperature that won’t burn)
Dolama Baklavas For the syrup:
1200 gr granulated sugar
800 gr water
Juice of half a lemon
Dolama Baklavas Instructions:
- Lay the prepared phyllo sheets on a flat surface, stacking them on top of each other.
- Cut the stacked phyllo sheets in half horizontally to create two equal parts.
- Place the two halves of phyllo sheets on top of each other. Measure the length of a rectangular baking tray, and cut off the excess parts of the phyllo sheets on both sides.
- Place a thin rolling pin at one end of a phyllo sheet. Sprinkle ground pistachios over the phyllo sheet, then roll it around the rolling pin like a log.
- Without lifting it from the surface, gently squeeze the ends of the rolled phyllo sheet and roll it once more. Then, transfer it horizontally into the baking tray. Repeat this process until the baking tray is filled.
- Once all rolls are placed in the tray, generously drizzle melted butter over them to cover any dry spots.
- Cover the tray with parchment paper and place it in an oven preheated to 150 degrees Celsius. Bake for about 20 minutes, then remove it from the oven and pour the prepared syrup over it while it’s still hot. Allow it to soak up the syrup and cool down.
- The distinctive feature of Pistachio Roll is its green appearance, reminiscent of grape leaves. Parchment paper is used to maintain this appearance without browning in the oven.Enjoy your meal!
