Let’s dive into the recipe and uncover the secrets to perfecting this culinary delight.

    Recipe for Kuş Gözü Baklava:

    Ingredients:

    2 cups of flour
    1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
    A pinch of salt
    1 egg
    1/4 cup of vegetable oil
    1/4 cup of yogurt
    1/4 cup of water

    For Topping:

    50g melted butter
    1/2 cup of vegetable oil

    For Rolling Out the Dough:

    Cornstarch

    For Syrup:

    2 cups of water
    2 cups of sugar
    1 teaspoon of lemon juice

    Instructions:

1- Mix the dough ingredients to form a soft dough, adding more flour if needed.
2- Divide the dough into 9 equal pieces, roll them into balls, and cover with a damp cloth. Let them rest for 30 minutes.
3- In a saucepan, combine the syrup ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
4- Roll out each dough ball thinly on a cornstarch-dusted surface, then cut into 4 equal pieces.
5- Starting from the tip, roll each piece around a rolling pin, then pinch the ends and remove from the pin.
6- Shape into rounds and place on a greased baking tray. Mix melted butter and oil, then drizzle over the baklava.
7- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden brown. Pour warm syrup over the baklava after removing from the oven.
8- Once the syrup is absorbed, serve the baklava with pistachios.

Enjoy your delicious Kuş Gözü Baklava!
