    May 2, 202402 Mins Read

Ingredients for Quince Dessert Recipe in a Pot
    1 lemon
    4 large crayons
    3 cups granulated sugar
    2.5 cups of water
    8 cloves
    1 stick of cinnamon

    For Service:
    1pack of cream
    1 handful of walnuts

How to Make Quince Dessert Recipe in a Pot?

Fill a large bowl with cold water and squeeze the lemon into it.

First peel the quince, cut it in half lengthwise, carve out the insides with a knife or spoon, carefully cut off the stems and bottoms and set aside the residue. While doing this process, keep the peeled quinces in lemon water at all times.

First place the peels, then the inner parts and quince seeds on the bottom of a flat and wide-bottomed pot, then place the quinces in the pot with their hollow parts up.

Transfer the sugar into the pot so that it fills the middle of the quinces and covers them. Add a clove to the middle of the quinces and leave the cinnamon stick in the pot.

Finally, pour the water little by little in a way that does not take away the sugar on the quinces but slightly moistens them, cover the quinces with wet wax paper, close the lid of the pot and turn the stove on high.
After you see the first boiling after about 15 minutes, turn the stove to the lowest possible level and let it cook for about 1.5 – 2 hours.

After the first hour, check the quinces from time to time by pricking them at the thickest part with the tip of a knife. Before the softness of the quince reaches the point where it will fall apart, carefully turn the quince upside down with the help of two spoons, turn off the stove and let it rest at room temperature for 12 hours.

You can serve the quinces, which have rested and become firm again, by first dipping them in the sherbet sauce accumulated in the pot and adding walnuts and clotted cream. Enjoy your meal.
