    How to Make Kunefe?

    You no longer need to go all the way to Hatay to make kunefe. With the kunefe recipe we will give you, you will be able to make kunefe at home in a practical and delicious way. You can also bring kunefe, a flavor unique to Hatay, to your home kitchen. Moreover, the only ingredients needed to make kunefe are a pan, string cheese, kadayıf and sugar. You will be able to make kunefe practically with only 4 ingredients. Here’s how to make kunefe, the taste of which will never leave your palate…

    Materials
    200 g wire kadayıf
    100 g butter
    200 g string cheese

    For the sherbet:

    1.5 cups of sugar,
    1.5 glasses of water,
    3-4 drops of lemon juice

    For the ornament:

    Pistachio powder and cream

     

    Step 1: Put sugar and water in a pot, when it boils, squeeze the lemon and let it cool.

    Step 2: Knead the kadayifs thoroughly with butter at room temperature.

    Step 3: On the other hand, grease the crepe pan with butter.

    Step 4: Spread the kadayıf on the pan about 1 cm, leaving no space, press firmly by placing a weight on it,

    Step 5: Cut the cheese and distribute evenly.

    Step 6: Cover it with kadayıf again and apply pressure again, make sure that the kadayıfs are intertwined and stick to each other.

    Step 7: Cook over low heat until both sides are browned.

    Last step: While the kunefe is hot, pour the sherbet over it while it is warm, wait a minute or two in the sherbet, then decorate and serve.

    Tips for making kunefe:

    – The more cheese the better, you can increase it according to your budget.

    – You can tell when it’s browned from the edges.

    – The sherbet should be warm and the kunefe hot. If you pour the sherbet while it is hot, your kunefe will turn into dough.
